Perfect protection - efficient wood chopping

Kids can watch adults chopping wood in perfect safety.

Chopping wood safely using the Firepoint-Protector.

No risk of misses or flying splinters.

Wood chopping made easy.

People can chop wood next to one another safely.
The Protector is full and needs emptying.

Chopping wood can be dangerous as
misses and flying splinters may cause
major injury. Laborious, too, as the
wood has to be gathered.

Our Protector minimises the risks. It is
a trough-shaped ring around the block.
The front is lower than the back so that
an axe can be used freely. Misses only
hit the plastic surround, not your leg. No
wood flies about. No injuries are possible
can hence be caused by them. The wood
can be removed vertically from the
Protector.

This product is supplied ready for instal-
lation. Blocks of a diameter of 38 to 40 cm
are best suited. Screw the Protector on
about 2 – 3 cm below the edge of the
block using the wood screws provided. If
the block has a larger diameter then thin
the top about 5 cm from the top with a chain
saw and axe. Set the Protector on the ring
around the block you've created and screw
t in using the wood screws supplied. If the
wood is hard drill the holes beforehand.

Your block is of the right height if axe and
arm are straight atop any wood on it. Blocks
that are too high or too low make chopping
laborious and increase the risk of misses. Put your right foot forward when chopping wood. This keeps you closer to the block so you don't need to make wide swings, avoid misses and have no splinters flying about. Once a wood billet has been split take it out of the Protector so that it doesn't get too full. Regularly remove splinters from the block surface to ensure wood to be chopped stands securely.
